California Brazing has been acquired by Trive Capital, where KAL Capital served as the sell-side investment banking advisor.
Cal Braze is a leading manufacturer of complex, mission-critical components for a variety of aircraft connectivity, defense electronic and high-technology applications. The Company is a leading provider of aluminum brazing, heat treatment and CNC machining. The business operates out of two facilities with the headquarters in Newark, California.

Industry M&A This Past Week

The Carlyle Group agreed to acquire StandardAero Aviation Holdings, Inc.
Currently a portfolio company of Veritas Capital, StandardAero provides MRO services for aircraft and rotorcraft engines, APUs and components, in addition to comprehensive engineering services.

Technical Services Corporation (TSC) acquires Accelerated Development & Support Corporation (ADS).
ADS provides science and technology (S&T) services to Department of Defense (DoD) programs, including program management, systems integration, and engineering. The company has been rebranded to ADS Federal.

Excelitas Technologies Corp. (AEA Investors L.P.) completes the acquisition of Axsun Technologies.
Axsun technologies designs and manufactures advanced photonics products based on MEMS and other micro-scale optical devices for medical imaging and industrial spectroscopy applications.

JetBlue’s Moxy Airline Contracts With C Series Aircraft Limited Partnership (CSALP) for 60 Airbus A220-300 Airliners. Moxy is a new airline venture led by founder of JetBlue Airways, David Neeleman.

The Office of Naval Research (ONR) (Arlington, VA) awarded Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. a 5-year, $20.0 million contract to support the Submarine Security Program for the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Undersea Warfare Division (N97) and ONR Sea Warfare and Weapons (Code 33).

The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Redstone (ACC-RSA) awarded Raytheon Command and Control Solutions, LLC a $51.9 million firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract for the procurement of enhanced Sentinel A3 radars and associated spares.

NAVAIR HQ awarded Boeing Strike, Surveillance and Mobility a not-to-exceed $55.0 million fixed-price-incentive-firm undefinitized contract for the procurement of up to six Infrared Search and Track (IRST) Block II low-rate initial production (LRIP) III units for the F/A-18E/F series aircraft.

NAWCAD Contracts With Dayton T. Brown Inc. for Mobile Missions System (MMS) Development and Support. The contract was awarded on a sole-source basis in support of the NAECAD’s Integrated Battlespace Simulation and Test (IBST) Department (AIR-5.4) Special Missions Program Office.
